Home, Sweet Home...

Wow, 18 months has passed and gone and I can't believe that I am home! I came home on June 10th-due to incliment weather, I got in around 9:30 pm and was released at around 10:15 pm. :) It's so interesting to be home. Things are really great though. I was a little nervous about being weird, but honestly-I think I'm pretty normal. I jumped right into being busy and last week completed a full week of being an EFY counselor. SO fun!!! I am a building counselor this year, which is kind of like being a zone leader. I'm the counselor for a group of counselors. So we are in charge of the more logistical things. It was great! :) I've already hung out with guys too, that was something I was a little more nervous about. Heavenly Father will have to continue to help me out in that area.

Glad to be home, I'm happy...mostly healthy (just suffering from a little cold)...and ready to have a great summer!!!!

Mission pictures are soon to be posted.

Sister Rasmussen

I am officially a missionary! It's soo surreal! But, it's true. I got set apart tonight and yes, I was very emotional, yes, I cried, but it's all a good emotional. I know that I'm sad to leave my family and friends, but I'm so excited and happy to go serve my Heavenly Father. Tonight was full of hugs and kisses (yes...kisses...) and sharing stories and bearing testimony. It was just wonderful. I love being a member of the church. I'm so blessed to have truth in my life. Jesus Christ is our Savior, He knows me personally. I love my life and the blessings Heavenly Father has bestowed upon me. I guess this is it for blogging for the next 18 months. Have a wonderful year and a half and always remember Christ.

Love always,

Sister Lauren Rasmussen
