The call....

It came!!!!! Did you read that?! It CAME!!!! Ohhh myyy goshhh!!! I can't believe it!!! Saturday afternoon Devin (my best friend) and I were driving home from Grand Prairie...I turned on to my street and THERE HE WAS! The MAILMAN! I sped as fast as I could to the front of my house and ran to his truck...he said, "I sure hope that whatever you were looking for came today, because you sure were mad at me yesterday." I just said, "Haha! I do too! And no worries, I wasn't mad at you! I was mad at the whole mail situation!!" He handed me the mail...and there it was. THE glorious white envelope...addressed to me as, Sister Lauren Mari' Rasmussen. IT WAS HERE!!! I remained calm, but my insides were going crazy!! My dad came outside and stole my precious white envelope! He then attempted to lock me out of the house with my call inside..but don't you worry. I had a key! :o) So...we waited about 20 minutes so that I could at least look presentable when I opened my call. Haha, silly, I know. I'm sure you're sick of my rambling...and just really want to know where I'm going, right?? Okay, I'll get to it. We all gathered around and I had Jenni on the phone..(HOLLA) and I opened it!!!!!!!! Guess where I'm going?! Just guess!!!! It IS stateside....but probably the BEST stateside mission EVER!!!!! I am going to....drum roll please....the....Utah Salt Lake City TEMPLE SQUARE mission!!!!!!!! Can I get a WOOOOT WOOOOT!?!? Seriously, this is soooo exciting! When I read those words out loud everyone cheered!!!! Especially my dad, he was like..."YEAH!!! WOOO HOOO!!!" As if he were cheering for a football game or something. He knew I was going to Temple Square somehow...go figure. He told me that I've been planning on going on a mission before I was even thought of. I agree. :o) It just feels soo perfectly right. I know it's what I am supposed to do. I just can't believe that the Lord answered my prayers SO directly! This is somewhere I TRULY wanted to go!! It's sooo amazing. I can't believe it. I report to the MTC on December 19th. WOW!!!! Anyway, I really really am sooo thrilled to be able to serve my Heavenly Father. My mission consists of..Temple Square, The Conference Center, The Beehive House (Where Brigham Young lived), The Humanitarian Aid Center and Welfare Square...so I might be able to serve in all those different areas. PLUS for 4 months of my mission I get to go somewhere else and proselyte. That means actually go investigating to find people that need the gospel and spread the GOOD WORD to others!!! :o) Isn't this SOOO exciting?! I still can't believe it!!! Alright well, I don't feel soo good right now, my head hurts. I think I'm going to go to bed. Have such a great night.*loves*-Lauren
