It has Shia LaBeouf in it...You know from Even Stevens?? He plays the main character Sam, who's car is a Transformer, Bumblebee.
Then of course there is a love interest....McKayla and Sam...they're such a hot couple.

THEN....there's Captain Lennox....also known as...(Jenni..you're going to love this...) Tad Hamilton. OR Josh Duhamel. He's sooooo fine.

Anyway, I just loved the story line. These alien robots, come to earth to SAVE the humans! There was great symbolism that I personally think, call me crazy, reflected the gospel. It was about self sacrifice and letting people make their own choices, hm...Plan of Salvation ringing any bells? So if you've seen it and think that's quite a stretch, that's fine. BUT I got a good feeling from the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. We rented it already too. So...GO rent it from Blockbuster! It's great!

Hope everyone's week is fantastic.
Love,
Lauren

ohhhhhhh ok... so i started reading this and i was like... gosh everyone loves transformers but it just really doesn't look like my kind of movie.... and my old boss LOVED it and we'd always joke on him for it.
... then I progressed through the post and ... WHAT? Tad hamilton is in it?! thank you for knowing that i'd love that hahahaha!! i WILL see it now!!!

I have to agree with you, Lauren, Transformers is (so far) one of my top 5 movies of 2007. I loved the story, the action was great, the animation was some of the best I've seen, and the music was absolutely fantastic.
Shia LaBeouf was really good, it was interesting to see him outside of the Disney realm, and I think he nailed the part.
I loved how the computer geeks saved the day, that wasn't something I was expecting.
My only gripe would have to be that tying the three story lines (Sam/McKayla/Bumblebee, Captain Lennox, and the Government/nerds) was a little weak. But they still did a good job.
I saw some Gospel parallels as well…but I can see them in almost any movie, so I'm happy someone else saw them too.
For one that almost beats people over the head with Gospel principles, check out Spider-Man 3.
